There is a high potential of return on investment in terms of replicability of the concept where methodology and teacher training are developed in a clearly defined subfield.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hypothesis 2 <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-amber-color\">confirmed<\/mark> \u2013 The tech is here &amp; ready&#8230; <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Features of contemporary VR solutions like voice transmission, \u201cmeeting\u201d in different environments and the first specialized applications for language learning make the area of professional language training (in VET) a clear choice for meaningful innovation and teacher upskilling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the project we have proven the affordances of contemporary VR technology to be useful for the target group of VET language teachers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It makes sense to go on unfolding the possibilities in this direction.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hypothesis 3 <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-amber-color\">confirmed<\/mark> \u2013 Language training benefits from innovating with VR<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have chosen the priorities bearing in mind that VirTrain is aiming specifically at language teachers in VET because they can make the most out of the given tool &#8211; virtual reality &#8211; within a realistic time and resource framework following the  &#8220;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/education\/education-in-the-eu\/council-recommendation-improving-teaching-and-learning-languages_en\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/education\/education-in-the-eu\/council-recommendation-improving-teaching-and-learning-languages_en\" target=\"_blank\">Recommendation from the European Commission on Languages<\/a>&#8221; (2018). And we were right! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The preliminary feedback we are getting from the target group is overwhelmingly positive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">So, what is next?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the following months VirTrain will formulate the findings and finalize outputs that will be published on this website and disseminated widely through the planned events.
